Cain, the former CEO of the Godfather’s pizza chain and one- time presidential candidate, has died from complications due to  Coronavirus at age 74. Cain attended President Trump’s June 20 rally in Tulsa, but there is no certainty where or when he contracted the virus.

I delivered pizza for Godfatherses’s in my academically suspended and broke 20th year of life. I liked it. Umtil I ate enough I could never eat it ever again.

It served a purpose in life. And that purpose was to expose my 9 year old self to early 80's music on a jukebox, and the arcade games Joust and Centipede and pinball. That was when Pizza was pizza.

Dude! When I was a kid the Pizza Hut near my house had a small arcade that ate so many of my quarter dollar coins. The combination of pizza restaurant smells and the sound of electronic music felt like heaven to my young teenage self. To this day I can never not smell the scent of pep peroni pizza whenever I hear Out Run's Splash Wave.

On paper, Cain should be a hero of the African American community (and society as a whole) . Born into segregation and poverty, graduated from Morehouse (an HBCU) and then Purdue, the Navy, worked his way up through various restaurants, eventually landing a spot with the KC Federal Reserve.

But he supports Trump, so....yeah.

Uh, no. I went to Pizza Ranch exactly once. The air seemed to be filled with vaporized, saturated fat and the pizza was an exercise in cost sensitive food engineering. That is to say, not good. It was cheesy, bready, and salty/sugary but strangely without much flavor.

Absolutely. I guess I’m just cy nical about how someone can lead a very admirable life, then mess it all up in the public eye for a few things you do towards the end.

If I had also survived Stage 4 cance r, I might end up with a few screws loose in terms of my risk appetite and general attitude toward death . Still no excuse for any reasonable person to not wear a mask.

Even at my broke-ass brokest, Godfather’s lunch buffet was the least appealing option . I’ve never had saltier, crappier pizza in my life, anywhere (and I delivered for Little C ae sa r’s, briefly).

I had an acquaintance at the time who swore by it, but he would also pick apart cigarette butts & re-roll the scrap tobacco, so not the most discriminating of tastes.

Dominoes is the chain restaurant that is by far the most dependent on which location you order from. You can order from one location and it's compete garbage and then order from the location 2 towns over and it's actually pretty good.

The quality of Domino’s us highly dependent on which location you get it from. The one near UVM campus in Winooski is garbage, the one one town over in Colchester  is really good.

that’s exactly my experience too.  My kids use the online account and app to easily order it up, but for me sometimes it’s like “hey, this is a lot better than it used to be...” and sometimes it’s “meh”.
